Mobilization of the African Diaspora for Development

The African Diaspora also have the potential to provide valuable expertise and knowledge to nonprofit and governmental organizations in their respective countries.

PID seeks to mobilize the African Diaspora to become development partners short-term capacity building activities targeting primarily the African private sector. PID also seeks to involve the African Diaspora in youth employment schemes involving their financial and technical support using information technology/Internet.

PID has an additional objective of mobilizing African Americans to become involved in Africa as potential development partners through collaboration with various professional and civic associations. We seek to undertake this by disseminating economic, historical, and cultural information about Africa to strengthen historical ties and encourage opportunities for tourism; and philanthropy.
